WOOLLY WINTER BLUES

Batten down the hatches baby, winter is here. My wardrobe essentials of bathers and birkenstocks evolve to chunky, oversized knits. There is nothing like wrapping yourself in a cocoon of wool to escape the colder months. Its like summer is still hugging you with its warm rays, well at least I like to think so.

THE FINER THINGS IN LIFE

From time to time I love to indulge in some of the finer things in life. Dark chocolate, a glass of red wine, snuggling under fresh sheets while the winter air settles in and the desire for every delicate gold thread of Petite Grand jewellery. I have the same childhood instinct to layer each piece, like sneaking into my mothers treasure chest and playing dress ups. This fine jewellery has become part of me and never leaves my sight, let alone my skin.

BASSIKE INSTINCT

When I say basic instinct I don’t mean the erotic thriller of 1992 but the basic instinct that every woman has towards denim. Many would argue that in this context, ‘basic’ and ‘bassike’ could be used interchangeably. For me, this involves picking pieces that fit easily into my everyday, yet have a sense of luxury to them. Bassike’s take on the boyfriend style and traditional washes mean that whether it’s a matter of replace or replenish this no excuse.
